The Gift a Day Club

I knew my students were planning something - several times they'd asked me to step outside the classroom so they could chat privately. (Isn't it nice that I could trust them and do that? They are great kids.)

This week I found out what the secrecy was all about - I found a wrapped gift on my teaching cart every morning!
Monday's gift was the classic book, Winnie the Pooh.

Tuesday's book? Harriet the Spy. (I accidentally deleted that photo on all my devices.)

For Wednesday, the book was Tom Sawyer.
Audrey brought in her selfie-stick to help us with the pictures.
We had a LOT of fun with it that morning...
Do you like our human Christmas tree? The Hobbit was Thursday's offering.

Friday I accidentally permanently deleted the photo of the kids and me with the book (the 50th anniversary edition of A Wrinkle in Time) along with one of Purdue's head basketball coach's daughter holding the bonus gift:
An Illini clock!! I can't wait to hang it in my classroom!
