The Indianapolis Children's Museum

I played hooky Friday and spent the day with Jessica, Cambria, and Titan. We decided to head to Indianapolis and the Children's Museum. And, since we were going to be in Indy, we asked Aunt Jenny to join us!

This was Cambria's expression for much of our visit.
The museum never lets you down - there is always something new, and always more than you can do in one visit. Our starting point? The giant slide in the main lobby.
That's Jenny waiting in line just to the left of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle poster, with Cambria in the pink shirt by the green column.
Hi, Grammy!!
And down they come!
Posing by the Christmas tree at the foot of the slide.
While Mama, Aunt Jenny, and Camria did the slide, Titan and I waited together. Such a smile!

Then we headed into the Winter Wonderland and the reindeer barn.
Cambria was supposed to be helping Santa get this reindeer ready to fly...
... but she wanted to go for a ride instead.

We moved on to an ice castle made for smaller museum visitors.
It, too, had a slide!
This time, Aunt Jenny watched over Titan.

We went to the dinosaur exhibit...
... and Cambria practiced sketching a dinosaur.

Then she went to the viewing are where you could watch real scientists working on cleaning dinosaur fossils.
I love how the scientist is smiling at Cambria.
She was so excited by all the things to look at and do.
Including putting on goggles, grabbing some tools, and doing her own digging for fossils.

Then, we discovered one of my favorite parts - a train exhibit!
There was a real 1888 locomotive that you could view.
And you could take a ride in the tool car - the windows were actually screens that showed scenery passing by and the car rumbled and shook a bit.
It felt like we were really riding a train!

As we wandered out of the train exhibit, we saw a beautiful Chinese dragon hanging on a wall.

Following it led us to China!
There was a puppet theater, musical instruments, a Chinese restaurant, and others.
Best of all, the panda nursery where you could "feed" baby pandas!

The third floor had an indoor stream and waterfall.
Cambria suited up and splashed until it was time to go.
As for Titan, he was a happy boy the entire time we were there.
A last picture before leaving.
And one with Aunt Jenny, too!
