Mid December Snowfall

Craig, Lisa, and Curt made it to Tennessee for Cole's graduation before the first major snowstorm of the year hit. Since I stayed home sick, I was able to hibernate inside my cozy home, wrapping Christmas gifts and working on a Christmas craft I am doing for family members while I watched the snow fall throughout the day.

It is a beautiful snow, and I hope it sticks around so we have a white Christmas.

Just as the sun came up this morning, I slipped out onto the back porch in my jammies to measure how much snow we had gotten.
(I love my M&M ruler with my name on it. I actually have two - one from a student teacher and another from a student.)
Just a smidge under five and a half inches!

Quickly I snatched back my ruler, kicked the snow off my shoes at the kitchen door, and  hustled into the living room so I could do this:
Toast my tootsies on the space heater! Ahhhhh!
